Dutch Elm Disease

The majestic American Elm was a staple in our cities and towns. The vase shape and weeping limbs made it an ideal street tree. In the 60s the Elms began to decline from Dutch Elm Disease. One by one these towering giants wilted and died as a small insect called the Elm bark Beetle passed the vascular disease from tree to tree. Millions of mature trees were lost.

Treatment methods:
The most reliable method of treatment is macro infusion. This process uses an intravenous like system to pump high volumes of water/fungicide solution into the trees cambium. Acting like a protective shield this method needs to be repeated every 3 years.
